What's New? - CAIP - 24-PI5
๐ What's New in CAIP after 24-PI5?โ
24-PI5 (August 27 โ October 21, 2024) advanced comparison workflows, build reliability, and live inference in CAIP Offboard v1/v1.5, giving teams more confidence and visibility across the delivery journey.

โจ New Featuresโ
๐ Notebooks & Developmentโ
The CAIP SDK added multiple parameter sets for comparison runs and arbitrary configuration for each environment, so teams could evaluate alternatives without duplicating projects. Container builds could run as a non-root user and use dynamic Docker-secret paths, while --watch_logs streamed run logs directly to the terminal for immediate visibility. The SDK also moved to Python 3.11, keeping project development on a supported, maintained runtime.
๐ Pipelines & Servingโ
EMR workflows added retries and environment-based virtual-cluster selection, then surfaced the EMR job-run ID and retry count so teams could trace a run's execution state more easily. Connected GenAI also introduced live inference through Knative and KServe, with a KServe V2 example to help teams integrate a deployed custom model.
